Fibromyalgia Exercise

Fibromyalgia exercise is important for your over all well being.  And, believe it or not, it is one of the best fibromyalgia treatments for the reduction of pain.  If you do not exercise, several things will occur.

  • Your muscles will begin to deteriorate.
  • You will begin feeling weaker.
  • Your endorphin  production will diminish.
  • You will feel stiffer in the morning.
  • You may find your fibromyalgia tender points will increase in pain.

Strenuous exercise is not recommended.  Strenuous exercise can actually aggravate fibromyalgia symptoms.  However,  light to moderate exercise is highly recommended.

I began my exercise program by getting up in the morning and stretching.  I was stiff as a cobb but stretching loosened my muscles enough that the fibromyalgia morning stiffness went away quickly.
